Maybelline Colour Tattoo

Hey guys,
Just a side note...I have been horrible at blogging lately. I'm not going to make any promises, but I hope I get my act together!!
Anyways, I thought that it was about time that I say something about the Maybelline Colour Tattoos...considering I use them every day. These eyeshadows are absolutely amazing! I use them as a cream base for any other shadows that I wear, but you can honestly wear these on their own! The pigmentation is seriously wonderful, and they are a great creamy texture! I have two shades from the colour range: Barely Branded (70) and Bad to the Bronze (25).
The shade on the left is Bad to the Bronze, and it is a gorgeous brown colour that you can pull off on its own. I have worn this as a stand alone shadow on numerous occasions. The one of the right is obviously Barely Branded, and is a gorgeous cream colour that always kinds of reminds me of fairies (weird...I know).
I seriously cannot say enough good things about this product. The colour swatches are one swipe of product...I didn't have to force a good colour from them. All in all, definite recommend.

Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream

Hey all,

Today I wanted to talk to you guys about a product that I've been using for a little over a year now, the Body Shop's Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream. Is mattifying even a word...my spell check is telling me it's not. But whatever this potentially made-up word is, I like it and I love the way it makes my skin look!

This is what it looks like, and it's essentially just a day cream, except that it's designed for people with combination to oily skin. The nice thing about this cream too, is that it also moisturizes your skin, instead of just drying out all the oils (which a lot of oily skin moisturizers tend to do!). I apply this product every morning and it helps keep oil and shine at bay almost all day long! I do find that near the end of the day, typically in the evening, that I do get a little bit of a shine, but it lasts almost 10 hours generally, and that's pretty good in my books.
Another thing I love about this cream is the texture. Unlike many other creams that I've tried that are thick and heavy, the Seaweed cream is literally gel consistency, and applies so wonderfully onto the face. It also feels soothing on the face when applying, and is generally just a great product. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone with combo/oily skin, and even to those of you have dryer or normal skin!

Bye :D

Billy Talent Concert ++ Birthday!!

Hey all!

So about a week and a half ago it was my birthday (yay) and my wonderful sister bought me tickets to go see Billy Talent (YAY!!) in concert! The neat part of it all was that the concert was actually ON my birthday, which was pretty wicked.

The first band to come out was a punk rock band called Pup. When they first came out, I honestly didn't know who they were, because Hollerado was supposed to be the opening act. However, I was pleasantly surprised by their music and the band in general. They had great stage presence and their music was super catchy. I would absolutely recommend their music to anybody, and they're from Toronto too, so that's a bonus! One of my favourite tracks was probably 'Lionheart', which I'll leave a link for below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlVHxLn7qiY

Second up was Hollerado. This would have been the second time I've seen them perform live, and they do NOT disappoint. Their music sounds so much like their tracks, and they really do an amazing job at getting the crowd excited for their music, especially when most of the audience was there to see Billy Talent. I should mention, that during their performance, a very small mosh pit did start...and as I am inexperienced in the punk rock concert department, I assumed that was the extent of it.

Boy was I wrong. Next was Billy Talent, and I literally could not wait. I was so excited to see them come out, and we had gotten ourselves to 3rd row, so we were super close to the band! Well...as those of you who have been to a punk concert will know, what came next was pretty intense. That tiny little mosh pit I had mentioned previously was the least of my worries. Billy Talent came out and of course played Devil in a Midnight Mass....well that surely got the crowd fired up, and it went crazy from there. People punching people in the head, a girl fell on my head, just utter chaos. BUT, it was seriously an amazing concert, and Billy Talent is better live than on their tracks...seriously incredible. They had the crowd going nuts, and it was the best concert I've probably ever been to! I would recommend seeing them in concert if nothing else!! Billy Talent, and all the other bands I mentioned are a must-see live!!

Hope you guys are having a wicked week, talk to you soon :)

TV Shows, Hockey, TOO much to watch!

Hello all,

So as I'm sure most of you know, it's fall. Although the weather lately doesn't necessarily reflect this new season, autumn is upon us. This means an absurd amount of TV shows are starting up again, new ones are coming out, and the beloved NHL season is back!

I'm not sure about how many of you guys watch hockey, but as a proud Canadian, I am a massive fan (GO SENS GO)! But, the major downfall to this, is how will I manage to watch hockey AND complete all of my homework? Or for those of you who don't watch hockey, how will you watch your favourite TV shows and still do your homework?!

Well, I think I have developed a master plan...or at least a half decent plan that I think might work.

I'm going to use hockey as my main example, but this is easily applicable to most TV shows. COMMERCIALS! As much as we all hate having our favourite TV shows interrupted with a darn commercial, they can be super helpful when trying to get homework done! Essentially, have your homework in front of you while watching your favourite show. Then, every time a commercial comes on, mute the TV, and work on your homework until that commercial break is over. Not only does this give you some time to work on your homework while watching hockey/TV, but it also gives you a little break. Working on homework non-stop can become really boring and tiring...but knowing that you get to watch the game in about 3 minutes again makes it a little more exciting. It's like you're racing against the clock!

The other nice thing about hockey, is intermission! When each period is over, there is an intermission, which gives you even more time to work on your homework! Don't get sucked into a pattern where you only watch TV and then forget about your homework...be proactive and do both!

Thanks guys :)

Back to school...now what?

Hey guys!

Long time no talk huh?

I was thinking today about blogging and why I haven't been keeping up with it lately, and then I remembered...oh ya, school keeps getting in my way! Therefore, I thought what better to write about than back to school and how it's been going.

I'm sure that I'm not alone when I say that this past three weeks have been less than delightful in terms of school and homework! I definitely know the feeling, and I know how much you already wish it was summer holidays again! Especially as we get into the cooler weather again, sweaters come out, and people tend to get a little sluggish.

So, I think that its important that I share some ideas with you all about how to not fall into the fall school slump. First, rearrange your room! This seems so simple and trivial, but doing something like rearranging your room can completely change your outlook for that month. When you switch up the way that you live  (literally), it can make such a difference in your attitude and your work ethic.

Second, take up a hobby. Even if you only go bowling once a week, that's definitely better than nothing! Finding one thing that can be your escape from the school and the work will make a world of difference! Or get a really great book...that way, you have something else to read besides textbook after painstaking textbook (are ya with me?).

Third, make a fall to-do list. Think of something you've always wanted to do, or an old tradition that you want to start again. Make this list as extravagant as you want, but make sure you can actually do these things (try to avoid putting Mars trip on the list). Knowing that you have some awesome things planned for fall, and actually doing them, will genuinely lighten your mood!

Lastly, eat healthy. You guys are probably thinking "could she be any lamer?!", but seriously. Eating healthier, especially during a cool time of the year, can increase not only your mood, but your energy. Nothing makes your body feel worse than eating junk all the time, so let this season be great!

I hope everyone is enjoying their school year so far, and like I've said before, if you want me to do a post on anythin specific, or if you're having trouble with anything, please feel free to comment!!

Bye :)

Less than one week

Hey all
I'm not sure if you guys are as excited as I am. I mean, ONE MORE WEEK until school starts again! You can't deny it...this past month, you've probably been getting excited, even just a little bit.

In saying that, I've been super busy lately with working and getting ready to head back to school, and so I've been slacking a bit on the blog front; which I apologize for!

So, I decided to just leave this post open...

Are you guys excited? Nervous? Worried?

What are you looking forward to the most?! Any awesome classes, or teachers?

Let me know, because I'd love to hear!

Bye :D

How to: Balance school and staying healthy!

Hey everyone!
As we're getting closer and closer to the start of the school year (I can hardly believe how fast the summer went), the idea of how you're going to maintain your healthy routine is daunting. Once school starts, it's back to normal...which means homework, studying, and the works. This constant busy lifestyle will definitely impact the time that you will have to workout, or even to prepare healthy meals and snacks for yourself! That doesn't mean we should give up though!

I decided to piece together some ideas for how to maintain a balance between your school life, and your healthy, active life.

Number one: Make a plan!
You might already have a basic plan set out for yourself of what you eat or do. However, when school starts, you won't have time to go to the gym at 1pm...because you'll be in class. So it's extremely important to look at how much time you have in a day, and make a realistic schedule of when you can workout, even for 30-45 minutes. Then, make yourself an actual schedule...when you will workout each day, so that you can't make excuses that you don't have any time, or you forgot.
Going hand in hand with a schedule, is also your food plan. This might seem kind of silly to some of you, but planning out your meals and snacks for the week, or even day to day, can help dramatically...and actually cut down on the time it takes you to get ready in the morning. If you make lunches ahead of time, or at least plan them, you won't be running around frantically in the morning!

Speaking of the morning, Number two: EAT BREAKFAST!
I feel like I'm harping on the same drum as nearly everyone else, but breakfast is SO important to not only your health, but your concentration and focus as well. Thinking that you will save yourself some time, or some calories, by skipping breakfast is a huge mistake. Even if you only have some oatmeal, or fruit, it is better than nothing. Again, you can plan this ahead! If you know what you're going to have for breakfast, you can simply go to the cupboards or fridge, pull it out, and you're done!

Number three: Make your lunch filling
Nothing is worse than eating a lunch, and then 30 minutes later, you're hungry again! Try and pack foods that are high in protein, sandwiches are a good choice, with some meat on them. Also pack some veggies or fruit to pair with your lunch, that way you have a snack, and can pack in some antioxidants (go for berries!). With a good, protein-rich lunch, you don't have to worry about having the rumbles at 1:30!

Lastly, Number four: always pack healthy, nutritious snacks!
Duh, that seems fairly obvious right! Even if you don't eat them, it's better to have those healthy snacks with you, just in case. If you do get hungry for a snack in the afternoon, it's much better for you to reach for a pack of grapes, or a granola bar, than to go to the vending machine and get a bag of chips! If you know you have those snacks with you, you can train yourself to not eat the garbage that you will see (sometimes even from your friends, which makes it tough!)

Anyways, I hope that this helped you guys a little bit when thinking about being healthy in your back to school time! One more important tip, don't push it. School is stressful enough as it is, so you don't need to add any extra pressure to your life. If you can't make a workout that day, don't drive yourself crazy! You can make it up to yourself.

Get excited & be healthy!

Bye!!

Weekends

Hey everyone,

How's your weekend going? I hope it's good, if not great!

As we're approaching the back to school season, we need to learn to cherish our weekends. Once school starts, there will be no "7 day weekend" anymore (unless of course you work, then you obviously don't have a 7 day weekend right now). You will be in school 9-4 basically, and then doing homework most of your night.

I know that sounds kind of depressing when you actually think about it, but that just leads us to our topic today: WEEKENDS!! When you've been in class all week, the best thing to look forward to is a nice weekend. Whether you do one tiny thing all weekend, or if your weekend is jam packed with stuff, those two days should be like cloud 9.

To make the weekend even more appealing, it's a great idea to try and plan stuff during the week for the weekend. That way you have something to look forward to. That will help you push through the hours and hours of homework!!

While we still can, enjoy every minute of your summer vacation! Once school starts, remember, the weekend is your friend! Relieve some stress, kick back, RELAX!

Don't let school stress you out.

Back to School Jitters

Hey guys,

So I'm sure at some point during our lives we've all experienced some kind of nervousness, or "jitters". Be it for a date, a test, an interview, or even school. It's a completely natural thing, and there's not a lot we can do to eliminate it.

What we can do though, is embrace it...or at least accept it.

This is definitely a difficult subject for a lot of people, especially if you have low self-esteem. Accepting the fact that you have to go to school, with hundreds, if not thousands of your peers (depending on the level of your education), who are probably going to be judging you, is not an  easy task. People can say "Just get over it", or "It'll be fine"...but inside, you're freaking out.

What I can say, is that it's not going to last forever. Once you're in university/college, people don't care anymore. There are so many people that you will find are just like you. You'll also notice that people start to grow up (at least some of them do). If they haven't grown up yet, they really don't belong in a university.

What it really comes down to is...why does it matter? Next time you're in a situation where you're panicking, or you feel nervous or stressed, think to yourself, "will this really matter 5 years down the road?" If not, STOP stressing over it. Life's too short to be stressing ourselves out over stupid, miniscule things. We need to put a smile on our faces, no matter how hard it might seem, and live our lives.

I hope that each and every one of you can be happy, and that your peers don't get you down...because if they're not raising you up, they're bringing you down (and NONE of us deserve that).

Love each other.

Covergirl Flamed Out Mascara

Hey everyone!
I recently had a coupon for Covergirl products, and I saw the new Flamed Out mascara sitting on the shelf. I figured, why not give it a try, something new. To premise, I usually use the Covergirl Clump Crusher, which I love, and will probably continue using for a  long time.

To start, the shape of the wand itself is quite strange to me. It is similar to a hourglass shape, with the ends being larger than the centre portion. I'm sure that this shape might have some great qualities, but to be honest, it just made application awkward for me. Secondly, the wand is quite soft, as compared to my Clump Crusher wand, which is plastic.

Although I could not use this product as a stand-alone, it does work nicely when paired with another mascara. To make this product work for me (since I would hate to waste a whole tube), I apply my Clump Crusher as per usual. Then, I come over that with this Flamed Out mascara. The two paired together does give a much fuller and 'flamed out' look.

All in all, I'm sure that this is likely just a case of personal preference. It's likely that all of you reading this will think I'm crazy, and will rave about this product. But, if you do have the same problem as me, try layering this mascara with another! It works wonders.

Sephora Collection 8hr Wear Perfect Cover Concealer

Hey all,
I was recently in Sephora because I've been having terrible luck with not only my skin recently, but also my concealers to boot. I had previously been using a concealer from Sephora Collection, which came in a squeeze tube. However, when I got matched for the colour and brought it home, it turned out to be a tad dark for my skin, and didn't quite match the tones of my skin. I tried and tried to make this colour work...with no luck. So I went back there and explained my situation.

Turns out that Sephora had actually discontinued their squeeze tube formula, and had created a new concealer in a pot. I got the shade 26 medium peach, and it matches my skin perfectly. I apply it with my ring finger first to the areas of concern, and then buff it out with a brush. The concealer is so creamy to apply, and it blends in beautifully.

Also, to my great pleasure, the coverage is quite good also. I can cover any red spots fairly easily, which is nice for me, since I don't typically wear a foundation.

All in all, I would rank this concealer highly, and definitely recommend it! Make sure you get your colour matched though, as that process did take a little while to find the perfect match for my skin.

Double concert

Hey everyone!

This weekend I got the privilege of seeing two amazing bands perform (one of which being my absolute favourite band) at the Festival of Friends. The first performer was a band called Airbourne. These guys are an Australian rock band, with some pretty awesome tunes! They are amazing live, and sound exactly like their recorded tracks. In fact, they sound quite a bit like AC DC, to be honest.

Second performer, Theory of a Deadman, my favourite band ever. I saw them perform back in November with my sister, and it was the best concert I've ever been too (not that I'm biased or anything). Although the band doesn't sound the same in concert as their CD, it's not at all bad! Their performance is absolutely awesome, and their different sound in concert is actually quite cool. They were the headliner of the night, and performed 'Bad Girlfriend' as their encore!

All in all, it was an awesome double concert, and both bands performed an amazing show! Airbourne even got their fans a bit wet with some water at the end!

Definitely recommend that you guys all go check out both of these amazing bands!

Let me know if there's any other awesome bands that I should give a listen to !!

See you all soon

Back to School FUN!

Hey everyone

As most of you probably know, it’s that time of year again...back to school!! Personally, I LOVE school...and my university career has been nothing but amazing. However, I know that a lot of you will probably say “WHAT!  Is she CRAZY?!”....because most of you probably HATE school...wish you never had to go back again. But let’s face it, that’s not really an option (unless you can drop out...which you shouldn’t) and school can be a lot less painful if you just accept it.

So, to get everyone geared up for the school year, whether it’s elementary school, high school, or even college or university, I thought  it would be fun (just like school), to do a bit of a series. This series doesn’t need to stop once school starts either. I want to give you guys some tips that I’ve found helpful in school, talk about the challenges of school, and just general topics, questions or ideas relating to school.

As a fourth year Business student, I’ve had my fair share dealing with school and the challenges that one faces while getting an education. I will try and give you all the best advice, tips and ideas that I can...BUT if you have any questions or ideas for new posts that I haven’t talked about, or that you’re interested in, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! :D I would love to know what you guys are dealing with in school and during this awesome back to school time!

See you guys soon!

Breakfast!

Hey guys!

Now we're talking, more food!
I thought that if I'm going to start a series, why not start with the first meal of the day...breakfast!

Breakfast is often the forgotten meal, which is unfortunate since it's SO great for you. Many people feel that if they skip breakfast, it will help them lose weight. (less in my body, less weight) Well, that's not really the case, nor is it healthy to skip such a crucial meal. Especially not when it's so easy to make something that's quick and delicious. Even if you're rushed in the morning, and figure you have no time to eat, try to ALWAYS make time for breakfast. Here are a few quick, delicious, and healthy ideas for breakfast:

#1. Eggs
Eggs are full of protein, which is great for those of you watching your weight. Since protein keeps you satisfied longer, you won't be reaching for a snack, or some junk as quickly. Plus, you can make eggs SO quickly, with little to no effort.
#2. Raspberries (or other antioxidant rich fruits)
Raspberries are high in fiber, which is great because it helps to prevent weight gain. Strawberries, and many other berries are rich in antioxidants, which are great for digestion. Also, you can add raspberries to the next breakfast idea, which is,
#3. Yogurt!
Yogurt was actually ranked in the top 5 foods that promote weight loss. A lot of flavours will add unnecessary sugars to your yogurt, so as mentioned, adding some fresh raspberries to a plain yogurt is a great way to eat healthy and cut sugar.
#4. Oatmeal
Again, oatmeal is high in fiber, which helps to keep you fuller...LONGER! Plus, you can add those raspberries again to make this already tasty meal, even better. Try making the oatmeal yourself, instead of using the instant packages. This will allow you to add any spices that you wish, and in the appropriate quantities.
Lastly, #5. Peanut Butter
You're probably thinking, "Well...does she want me to just dig my spoon into the jar?" Not necessarily, although you certainly could. Peanut butter was also ranked in the top 5 foods to promote weight loss, and is good on it's own, or on some whole grain toast. Peanut butter is also great for a mid morning snack with some banana or apple slices.

Alright guys, well I hope that you can get some use out of these 5 breakfast ideas. Keep in mind, especially with the fruits, you can pre-clean and separate these into appropriate serving sizes the night before, that way you will save on prep time in the morning.

Enjoy your day, and happy eating!
Bye!

Farmer's Market + Locally Grown

Hey there,
Jumping into my new series, I'd like to spend some time talking about farmer's markets, locally grown food, and the benefits of these.
I'm not sure if any of you will be living in the Hamilton area (Ontario that is), but on York Street in downtown there is a Farmer's Market. The market is open:
Tuesdays: 7am-6pm
Thursdays 7am-6pm
Fridays 8am-6pm
Saturdays 6am-6pm

This morning I made a visit to the market to kick off my new series, and to gather more information for you guys about the benefits of buying local. Now, I'm sure a lot of you will say that buying local can be expensive, and to be fair, it can be. However, there are TONS of booths there, and they are all fairly competitively priced. For example, today I got two oval apples, a large bag of seedless green grapes, two pounds of strawberries, a pound of raspberries, and four bananas for $7! That is NOT at all expensive, they were all great quality, and I'm supporting local farmers and booths.

Now, obviously there are a few benefits to going to a local market.
#1. Price can sometimes be significantly cheaper than at the grocery store, and they often have end of the day blowout sales, that grocery stores DEFINITELY don't offer.
#2. The quality is usually exceptional. These booths take great pride in the products they are selling, and their reputation, so they make sure they are providing you with high quality produce.
#3. Markets often have free range, grain fed products. Today I noticed all the chicken booths had free range, grain fed chicken breasts. If you are a vegetarian, obviously that wouldn't appeal to you, however it is definitely a more conscientious, nature minded choice. You can also buy eggs, and various other chicken products that hold the same label.
#4. Although there were a FEW booths that offered some very tasty treats, most of these booths at the market are offering vegetables, fruit, grains and meat. Shopping at the market not only opens your mind to the wide variety of available fruits and vegetables, but will help you to buy better food for yourself, as there is not a whole lot of selection on junk food!! :D

I hope you guys check out your local markets this week, and let me know if you find any great ones to share!!

Check it soon.
Bye!

Just the beginning.

Hello everyone!
So, as you've probably noticed, this blog is a bit on the random side! This is mainly due to the fact that I'm a human being, and have multiple, often different, interests!
I have recently become more interested with my physical fitness, what food I eat, and just generally trying to adapt a more positive and healthy lifestyle.
In doing this, I always find it easier to keep on track if I do it with somebody else. So I thought to myself, and decided that I would like to do a bit of a series, if you will, on my personal path to success.
I know you're probably thinking..."Man this sounds lame...she's just going to talk about her feelings and stuff." WELL...I thought we could make this a little more interactive.

This is going to be open to EVERYONE...those of you who are already fit, to those of you who are in progress, and to those of you who haven't even started, or are finding it hard to make such a drastic change in your life. I hope to post something in this series that will appeal to everyone, AND I also hope that you guys will leave me comments about tips you have, or if you've tried any of these ideas.

This series will include:
-fitness and workout plans I've been using, or tips that I've heard from other people
-food, drinks and meals that I have been eating
-my tips for organizing and sticking with your plans and goals
-and hopefully a bit of an interactive aspect, with some Q&A and some tips from you guys!

So, let me know what you think guys.
Sorry about all the colour changing...apparently it's one of those days!

See you soon
Bye~~

Rainy Days

Rainy Days
Hello again.

All week the weather has been amazing where I live, so I can't complain entirely. Although, I do have to admit that I'm a little disappointed that it's raining today. Nothing quite like waking up, looking out the window, ready to start your day....RAIN.
I won't say that I hate rain, because there are occasions when I don't mind it. However, rain does tend to put a damper on any plans you might have, especially those involving the outdoors.
When it does rain though, don't let it get your mood down. There are plenty of interesting things to do whilst it rains.
Museums
I understand that not everyone enjoys museums, so before I go any further...not ALL of these suggestions will suit everyone's fancy. These are merely suggestions!
As I was saying, museums can be a great way to spend those rainy days. First off, you're INSIDE, so that will prevent you from getting wet. Secondly, museums are not a place that most people would go to regularly, leaving you with plenty of options (depending on the size of your city/town). Just think of all the fun, and learning you could have on this rainy day!
Shopping Malls
Personally, I'm not the hugest fan of shopping, or the mall. However, during the rain, you will be indoors. However, if you are short on cash, and really shouldn't be spending any money, this might be a bad idea for you. If you have will power though, this could be a great day for some window shopping.
Library
Check out your local library! Although it might seem super boring to some people, libraries are increasing updating their selections, and even including magazines and movies. Whilst you're there, grab the latest copy of your favourite magazine, take a seat, and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Stay home!
I know I know, this was supposed to be a blog about what to DO when it's raining...you don't want to stay home! Yes, I know. However, there are lots of things to do within your own place! Spring is upon us, and for many, spring cleaning is not an option, nor a desire. BUT there's always something about a little rain that makes me want to clean...call me crazy. On top of that, take this opportunity to start some DIY projects that you might have been planning. OR prepare an amazing dinner. If you're stuck inside all day, why not make a delicious meal!?

Hope you guys enjoyed these few little tips of things to do when it's raining. Think of rain in a positive way.
First, you don't have to water your grass OR your plants...mother nature's got it covered.
Second, your car, clean and looking brand new...minus those rust marks and missing bumper.
Third, help to prevent droughts, and then there will be no fire bans this May 2-4 :D

Enjoy your rainy day everyone!

Exam Time!

Hello all,

As many of you may know, and may be in the same situation, it is exam time. That wonderful time of the year where courses are coming to an end, and you are bombarded with one exam after another.

Although it might seem overwhelming, frustrating, stressful, and tiring, it will all be over soon.

From one student to another, I'd like to share a few tips that I use when preparing for finals.

#1. Take breaks!
Most people tend to study all day long, thinking they will cram in as much as they can. This does NOT work, and in fact, will actually make you retain less information. It is important to set aside "break times", where you can get up, walk around, and maybe get something to eat.

#2. If one isn't given, create an exam review
Occasionally, if you have an incredibly nice professor, you will get an exam review. However, most professors do not do this, or offer very limited help. Therefore, it is beneficial for you to go over your notes, and highlight areas where you spent a lot of time, or important topics. These are not the ONLY things to study, but it helps to create a framework of where to allocate the majority of your studying efforts.

#3. Make a study group

When studying for an exam, it definitely appears to be easier to isolate yourself. That way you can focus on what you want, no one will bother you, and you can study for as long as you want. However, it helps to study with others, even if it's only for a little while. Set aside say two hours to study with a group of people from that class. This allows you to share ideas with other people, and brainstorm possible questions that will appear on the exam. Plus, it will give you a chance to interact with other people instead of isolated yourself during a stressful time.

#4. Relax!
Lastly, try to relax. I know this step is easier said than done, but it's important to both your mark and your health. Exam time can be extremely stressful, and this can have a negative effect on your body. Although it is hard to relax during such a high stress time, make the effort. Find what helps you relax. Maybe it's music, or food, or animals. Whatever it is, try to incorporate it into your study routine, or your break time. This will both help you focus, and help you from not experiencing anxiety attacks, or worse.

I hope these tips help you during this awful time.

Best of luck to everyone writing exams!

Hair cuts.

Hello there
Going off a recently bad hair cut experience, I thought I would talk about the horrors of getting your hair cut. I feel that this post might be more relevant towards girls, but completely applicable to guys also.

Starting off, I'd like to say that I normally avoid getting my hair cut for long periods of time, because I almost always hate how my hair cuts look. I walk in there, with high expectations. Sometimes, I even go in asking JUST for a trim. However, as most of us know, it never really works out that way.
This past week, I had the strange idea that I wanted something new with my hair. So I marched down to my local hair salon, and took a seat. Asking for just a trim, and maybe some side bangs, I thought "This time it's going to be different." What could go wrong? A little trim here, some bangs there...I thought for sure my hair would look like this:

Well, let's just say that my hair dresser was slightly more adventurous than I. What I soon began to realize was much too long for a trim, became a hair cut nightmare. My bangs, much shorter than my eyebrows, making them stick out in all directions, never quite behaving. My "trim" became 3 inches gone. Next...the layers. Shorter on one side than the other, chaos everywhere. What I had once had high hopes for, ended this way:
NEVER cutting my hair again.
(Not actual photo of myself, but that hair cut might actually look better than mine....)

Bye!

So...I'm kind of new to this.

Hello all.
Being as this is my first post, I will make it short and sweet.
Well maybe not so sweet, but I'm anticipating it will be short.
I'm not sure that this blog will have a specific theme, but then what fun is that anyways?
Blog post to come soon...after I think of what to write, so maybe soon is a bit of an overstatement.

Bye!
